About Us

Rescue Rehabilitate Release

Aces Wildlife Rescue is dedicated to the rescue of orphaned, injured, or ill wildlife. We provide emergency care to a large variety of species in our clinic, and work toward full recovery and release. Our facility provides sanctuary to several animals who are non releasable, requiring a safe place for them to live their lives.   Our mission is to protect Belize's wildlife and their habitats through education, community engagement, and conservation.

Our History

Aces Wildlife Rescue was founded by Chris Summers  and Christina Manzi as a non-profit with vision to respond to wildlife in need on Ambergris Caye. Ben and Rae Sept, and kids, joined them at the beginning of this venture, every step of the way as their sidekicks, partners, and friends. Over the following years, Aces Wildlife Rescue evolved into one of the busiest wildlife rescues in country, with intakes and calls to the hotline increasing each year. The clinic was in full swing, enclosures built and more volunteers joined the team.

Tragedy struck in 2024, with the loss of Chris Summers, bringing our organization to it's knees, unsure if we could keep going. Our team has persevered, still responding to calls from the community and providing care and support to the wildlife in need.

In 2026 our team was completed with the addition of biologists and anthrozoologists Matt Barnes and Niamh Byrne as Co Managers. we are very excited to see what the future holds for our organization, our community and our wildlife.
